Thyroid diseases are among the most common diseases in the general population.
The ThyroidOmics Consortium was formed to study the determinants and effects of thyroid diseases and thyroid function, using various omics technologies in multiple large and well-phenotyped cohort studies. The available omics include genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics.
A list of all participating studies is provided here.
The presentation from Marco Medici at the European Congress of Endocrinology in 2022 gives an overview of the relevance and the work of the consortium.
